Roblox development · Brands & IP owners

Roblox game development.
Your world, made playable.

Turn your brand or character IP into a custom Roblox experience. Capermint connects game design, 3D art, Luau engineering and testing around a defined first playable—then a production plan you can approve.

For US and Canadian marketing and product teams commissioning an owned experience. Have an existing Roblox game? Share the specific production gap.

The commissioning decision

Build a Roblox experience players can understand—and your team can operate.

A branded world needs a reason to play. Start with the audience, the action they repeat and the role your IP plays in that action. A social hub, character adventure, obby or mini-game collection each creates a different production brief.

What does a Roblox game development company do? It designs and builds an experience in Roblox Studio, using Luau for gameplay and systems, with art, interfaces, multiplayer behavior and testing. For a commissioned brand experience, the buying decision also covers rights, publishing access, launch responsibilities and ongoing operation.

Our proposed starting point is a scoped first playable. It lets stakeholders assess the player loop before committing to the full content and production budget.

Inspectable Roblox work

Babbelverse: a character world made playable.

Babbelverse brings the Babbelbende character world into a colorful Roblox adventure. Capermint’s published project brief describes semi-open exploration, Portal Games, multiplayer challenges, comic collectibles and an upgradeable Treehouse.

  • A character-led world with recognizable visual identity.
  • Activities connected through exploration and Portal Games.
  • Collectibles and a Treehouse that connect individual activities.

Capermint’s reported contribution: In the team’s public launch account, Milind Solanki describes concept validation, game design, development, UI/UX, multiplayer systems, testing and launch support.

Scope is described in the published brief; the contribution is Capermint’s account. Artwork shown here is promotional art. Player, revenue and retention results are not established by these materials.

Useful for your brief: identify what makes your IP recognizable, what the player does with it and which connected activity belongs in the first playable.

Roblox game development services

One connected build. Defined workstreams.

Choose the work your experience needs. The proposal should specify the deliverables, exclusions and acceptance checks for each workstream rather than assume every feature is included.

Experience & game design

Define the player loop, onboarding, quests, progression and how your brand or characters belong in the game.

Scope output: playable brief, feature priorities and acceptance criteria.

Roblox Studio & Luau

Build gameplay, interfaces, saved progress and the client/server behavior needed for the approved loop.

Scope output: agreed systems, source structure and testable functionality.

3D worlds, characters & UI

Translate your visual identity into environments, models, animation and interface assets suitable for the target devices.

Scope output: approved style sample and a defined asset inventory.

Multiplayer & progression

Plan shared activities, server-side validation, rewards and data persistence around the intended session and player count.

Scope output: multiplayer scenarios, save behavior and failure checks.

Device testing & release QA

Agree touch, keyboard/mouse and any controller requirements. Test onboarding, layout, performance and critical flows on the selected device matrix.

Scope output: QA checklist, findings and release acceptance record.

Launch support & updates

Scope publishing preparation, analytics setup, handover and any post-launch fixes or content updates as explicit responsibilities.

Scope output: release checklist, operating guide and support boundaries.

Reduce production uncertainty

Agree the first playable before scaling the world.

A first playable is a small, testable version of the core experience. It is not the full launch build. Agree what it must prove, which assets can be temporary and who approves the next production stage.

Illustrative scope · Proposed flow, not a client result
  1. ArriveUnderstand the character world, controls and first objective.
  2. PlayComplete one representative activity with the agreed input method.
  3. ProgressReceive feedback or a reward, with saved progress if included.
  4. ReturnSee a reason to repeat the activity or explore the next one.

The selected loop could be a character quest, obby, simulator action or mini-game. The brief determines the actual content.

  • The player understands the first objective without a stakeholder explaining it.
  • The core action works on the agreed test devices and inputs.
  • Multiplayer, saving and rewards are demonstrated where included.
  • Stakeholders record approval, open issues and the next scope decision.
Production with decision points

From a brief to a release your team can take over.

The project plan should name the deliverable, buyer approval and dependencies at each stage. Agree the review cadence and change process before production begins.

  1. Scope the experience

Review audience, IP permissions, player loop, budget, target devices and launch constraints. Separate an owned experience from an integration into somebody else’s game.

Decision: approved brief and proposal assumptions.

  2. Validate the playable

Review a representative activity and visual direction. Resolve the important gameplay and technical questions before approving the full asset list.

Decision: playable acceptance and production scope.

  3. Build & test

Develop the agreed systems and content. Review demonstrations and QA findings against the agreed requirements, including data and multiplayer behavior.

Decision: release candidate and open-issue disposition.

  4. Release & hand over

Complete the publishing checklist, access review and operating documentation. Confirm who handles moderation, promotion, updates and incident response.

Decision: launch approval and ongoing responsibilities.

Roblox development cost & timing

A useful quote starts with the scope.

There is no reliable single price for a custom Roblox experience. A small playable and a persistent world have different content, engineering and operating needs. Compare itemized proposals against the same assumptions. Estimate development separately from paid promotion, creator or integration fees, and recurring LiveOps.

Gameplay & systems
Number of activities, progression, multiplayer rules, saving and any purchase flows.
Art & content volume
World size, characters, environments, animations, UI and the amount of approved existing material.
Devices & performance
Input methods, selected devices, intended concurrency and the test scenarios included.
Approvals & operations
Brand/IP reviews, publishing requirements, analytics, handover and post-launch support scope.
Ownership & handover

Know what you receive—and who controls it.

Make these decisions explicit in the agreement. Commissioned work, licensed assets and Roblox platform rights are different things.

Publishing account

Agree the Roblox account or group that publishes the experience, authorized roles and access handover. Confirm the owner meets current publishing requirements.

Commissioned work

Specify the custom source, project files, design and art included in the contract, together with transfer conditions and any retained supplier materials.

Third-party material

Keep an inventory of licensed assets, music, plugins and dependencies. Their permissions and platform terms can limit reuse or transfer.

Operating knowledge

Define the source/project handover, build instructions, analytics access, issue list and support period your team needs to continue operating the experience.

Roblox account, publishing and platform requirements are set by Roblox. Review the current publishing documentation when scoping the release.

Launch and ongoing operation

Development, distribution and performance need separate plans.

A working experience is a production deliverable. Bringing players to it and learning from their behavior requires a launch and operating plan. Define those responsibilities alongside the build.

Launch responsibilities

Name who supplies approved experience icon, thumbnails and description, handles publishing and moderation, and manages campaign or creator activity. Include the intended audience, chat or user content, and any advertising or commerce features in the brief so policy review and moderation responsibilities can be agreed. A third-party game integration requires a separate creator agreement.

Measurement

Agree the onboarding steps, activity completion, return behavior and purchase events you need to observe. Confirm access and data availability before using those measures to judge a release.

Post-launch work

Define issue response, content updates and any experiment backlog. Prioritize changes from observed player behavior; a build does not establish future reach, revenue or retention.

Direct buyer answers

Before you commission the build.

The practical questions to resolve before choosing a Roblox development partner.

Can Capermint build a branded Roblox experience?

Yes. Share your brand or character IP, audience and intended player activity. We can scope an owned Roblox experience across design, art, Luau development and testing. The proposal determines the features and responsibilities included. Babbelverse provides a published character-world example with attributed project details.

Should we build an owned world or integrate into an existing game?

An owned world gives you a dedicated experience with its own ongoing content and operating needs. An integration depends on another game’s creator, audience fit, rights and agreement. Decide which route fits the campaign before estimating production. This page’s main offer is a commissioned owned experience; distribution or creator arrangements need their own scope.

How much does Roblox game development cost?

Cost depends on the player loop, systems, asset volume, devices, QA coverage and launch support. Send the brief and budget range so the team can assess a first playable and the wider production scope. Request itemized assumptions and exclusions; a generic package price is not a dependable estimate for an undefined build.

How long does a custom Roblox game take to build?

The schedule follows scope and dependencies: design decisions, approved assets, system complexity, device testing, stakeholder reviews and publishing preparation. State any campaign deadline in your brief. Agree dates and acceptance milestones in the proposal rather than assume a fixed turnaround applies to every experience.

Will it work on mobile, desktop and console?

Agree the required devices and inputs before production. Roblox supports multiple device types, but an experience still needs appropriate controls, interfaces and testing. Include touch and keyboard/mouse in the brief; controller or console coverage should be specified where required. Roblox’s cross-platform guidance explains why input and screen-size testing matter.

Can we monetize the Roblox experience?

Monetization is a scope decision, subject to Roblox’s current rules. Passes can provide one-time privileges; developer products support repeat purchases. Creator Rewards replaced engagement-based payouts in July 2025. Eligibility, earnings and DevEx cash-out depend on Roblox’s requirements, not a guaranteed development result. See Creator Rewards for current details.

Can you work on an existing Roblox game?

Share the experience link, project access you can authorize, the specific issue or feature and the work already owned by your team. A scoped review can establish whether the requirement is gameplay, art, multiplayer behavior, performance, QA or an update workstream. Availability and the engagement model are confirmed in the proposal.

What should we send to request a proposal?

Include your brand or IP, target audience, core player activity, reference experience, current assets, devices, budget range and deadline. If you have a live game, include its link and the production gap. Use the form below and select Roblox Game Development. The first response can identify missing assumptions and the appropriate next milestone.
